مغنطس

مَغْنَطِيسٌ, (S, K,) or مَغْنِيطِسٌ, (as in some copies of the K and in the TA,) and مَغْنِيطِيسٌ (CK) and مَغْنَاطِيسٌ (K) [The magnet;] a certain stone that attracts iron: arabicized [from the Greek μαγνῆτις]. (S, K.) [Mentioned in S, L, K, in art. غطس; but, as observed in the TA, it should have a separate place.]
