قال تعالى: ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلى أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّى
[القيامة/ 33] أي: يمدّ مَطَاهُ، أي: ظهرَه، والمَطِيَّة: ما يركب مطاه من البعير، وقد امتطيته ركبت مطاه، والمِطْوُ: الصاحبُ المعتمد عليه، وتسميته بذلك كتسميته بالظّهر.
