[مشج] مَشَجْتُ بينهما مَشْجاً: خَلَطْتُ. والشئ مشيج، والجمع أمشاج، مثل يتيم وأيتام. ويقال نُطْفَةٌ أمْشاجٌ، لماء الرجل يختلط بماء المرأة ودمها. قال زهير بن خرام الهذلى: كأن النصل والفوقين منها خلال الريش سيط به المشيج
