[مره] مَرِهَتِ العينُ مَرَهاً، إذا فَسَدَتْ لتركِ الكُحْلِ. وهي عينٌ مَرْهاءُ، وامرأةٌ مَرْهاءُ، والرجل أمْرَهُ. أبو عبيد: المُرْهَةُ: البياضُ الذي لا يخالطه غيرُه. وإنَّما قيل للعين التي ليس فيها كُحْلٌ مرهاء لهذا المعنى.
