مرعز: المِرْعِزَّى: كالصُّوف يُخَلَّصُ من شَعْر العَنْز. وثوبٌ مُمَرْعَز. ومثلُه ما جاء على لفظه شِفْصِلَّى . والمِرْعِزاء أيضاً إذا كَسَروا مَدّوا وخفَّفوا الزاي، وإذا فَتحوا الميم وكسَروا العين ثَقَّلوا الزاي وعَلَّقوا الياء مرسلة، وهذا في كلام العرب بناء نَزْرٌ. ويقال أيضاً مِرعِزى مقصوراً.
