المَحُّ: الثَّوْبُ البالي، مَحَّ الثَّوْبُ وأمَحَّ. ومَحَّ الكِتَابُ وأَمَحَّ: انْدَرَسَ. والمَحّاحُ: الذي يُرْضي النَّاسَ بالكَلام ولا فِعْلَ له. والمُحُّ: صُفْرَةُ البَيْضِ. والمُحَامِحُ: الكَثيرُ اللَّحْم. والأمَحُّ: مِثْلُ الأبَحِّ في السِّمَن. ورَجُلٌ مَحْمَحٌ: خَفِيْفٌ نَزِقٌ. والمَرْأةُ تَمَحْمَحُ: إذا دَنَا وَضْعُها الوَلَدَ. وتَمَحْمَحَ: لَزِمَ المَكَانَ وتَوَسَّطَه. وأرْضٌ مَحَاحٌ: قَلِيْلَة الحَمْض. ويُقال: بَقِيَ عِندكم شَيٌْ؟ فيُقال: مَحْمَاحِ: أي لم يَبْقَ شَيْءٌ.
