(م ح ق) : (الْمَحْقُ) النُّقْصَانُ وَذَهَابُ الْبَرَكَةِ وَقِيلَ هُوَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ الشَّيْءُ كُلُّهُ حَتَّى لَا يُرَى مِنْهُ أَثَرٌ وَمِنْهُ {يَمْحَقُ اللَّهُ الرِّبَا وَيُرْبِي الصَّدَقَاتِ} [البقرة: 276] أَيْ يَسْتَأْصِلُهُ وَيَذْهَبُ بِبَرَكَتِهِ وَيُهْلِكُ الْمَالَ الَّذِي يَدْخُلُ فِيهِ.
