مصدر اللَّجلجة. واللَّجلاج الاسمُ. يقال: لَجْلَجَ ذلك [الأَمر] لَجْلَجَةً ولِجْلاجًا، مثل: زَلزل زَلزلة وزِلزالًا. ومعنى اللَّجلجة: أَن يُرَدِّد الكلمةَ في فِيه، ولا يخرجها، واللُّقمَة لا يُسِيغُها. قال الشماخ بن ضرار:
