ل ي ن: (اللِّينُ) ضِدُّ الْخُشُونَةِ وَقَدْ (لَانَ) الشَّيْءُ (يَلِينُ لِينًا) وَشَيْءٌ (لَيِّنٌ) وَ (لَيْنٌ) مُخَفَّفٌ مِنْهُ. وَ (لَيَّنَ) الشَّيْءَ (تَلْيِينًا) وَ (أَلْيَنَهُ) صَيَّرَهُ لَيِّنًا، وَيُقَالُ: (أَلَانَهُ) أَيْضًا عَلَى النُّقْصَانِ وَالتَّمَامِ مِثْلُ أَطَالَهُ وَأَطْوَلَهُ. وَ (لَايَنَهُ مُلَايَنَةً) وَ (لِيَانًا) . وَ (اسْتَلَانَهُ) عَدَّهُ لَيِّنًا. وَ (تَلَيَّنَ) لَهُ تَمَلَّقَ.
