لخّص الشَّيْء: بينّه وحَبَّره.

واللَّخَصة: شحمة الْعين من أَعلَى واسفل.

واللخصتان من الْفرس: الشَّحمتان اللَّتَان فِي جَوف وَقْبي عَيْنَيْهِ.

وَقيل: الشحمة الَّتِي فِي جَوف الهَزْمة الَّتِي فَوق عَيْنَيْهِ، والجمعِ لخَاص.

ولَخَصَ البعيرَ يَلْخَصه لَخْصا: شقّ جَفنه لينظُر هَل بِهِ شَحم أم لَا، وَلَا يكون ذَلِك إِلَّا مَنحورا.

والَّلخَص: غَلِظ الاجفان وَكَثْرَة لَحمهَا، خلقَة.

وَقَالَ ثَعْلَب: هُوَ سُقوط بَاطِن الحِجَاج على جَفن الْعين.

وَالْفِعْل من كل ذَلِك: لَخِص لخَصَاً، فَهُوَ ألْخَص.

(لَخَصَ) اللَّامُ وَالْخَاءُ وَالصَّادُ كَلِمَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ، وَهِيَ اللَّخَصُ، وَهُوَ لَحْمُ الْجَفْنِ. وَاللَّخَصُ: أَنْ يَكُونَ الْجَفْنُ الْأَعْلَى لَحِيمًا. وَرَجُلٌ أَلْخَصُ، وَضَرْعٌ لَخِصٌ: كَثِيرُ اللَّحْمِ. وَقَوْلُهُمْ لَخَّصْتُ الشَّيْءَ، إِذَا بَيَّنْتَهُ، فَهُوَ مِنْ هَذَا، كَأَنَّهُ اللَّحْمُ الْخَالِصُ إِذَا أُبْرِزَ.
