(لَجَأَ) اللَّامُ وَالْجِيمُ وَالْهَمْزَةُ كَلِمَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ، وَهِيَ اللَّجَأُ وَالْمَلْجَأُ: الْمَكَانُ يُلْتَجَأُ إِلَيْهِ. يُقَالُ: لَجَأَتْ وَالْتَجَأَتْ. وَقَالَ فِي اللَّجَأِ: جَاءَ الشِّتَاءُ وَلَمَّا أَتَّخِذْ لَجَأَ ... يَا حَرَّ كَفَّيَّ مِنْ حَفْرِ الْقَرَامِيصِ.

لجا: اللَّجا: الضِّفْدَع، والأُنثى لَجَاة، والجمع لَجَواتٌ؛ قال ابن

سيده: وإِنما جئنا بهذا الجمع وإِن كان جمع سلامة ليتبين لك بذلك أَن أَلف

اللجاة منقلبة عن واو، وإِلا فجمع السلامة في هذا مطَّرد، والله أَعلم.
