قيل: هو شَجَرٌ طَيِّب الرِّيح مَنْبِتُهُ ببلاد عُمَان يُطَيَّب به الدُّهْن. والخَرَّاطُون يُملِّسُون به أَصْبَاغَهُمْ، ويَصْقلُونَها بِخُوصِ الكاِذى.

(س) فِيهِ «أَنَّهُ ادّهَن بالكاذِيّ» قِيلَ: هُوَ شجرٌ طيِّب الرِّيحِ يُطَيَّب بِهِ الدُّهْن، مَنْبَتُه بِبِلَادِ عُمانَ، وألِفُه مُنْقَلِبة عَنْ واوٍ. كذَا ذَكره أَبُو مُوسَى.
