كه: الكَهْكَهَةُ: حكاية صوت الزَّمْر، والكَهْكَهَةُ في الزَّمْر أعرف منها في الضَّحِك قال:

يا حبَّذا كَهْكَهَةُ الغواني

وكَهْ: حكايةُ المكَهْكِهِ. والأسدُ يُكَهْكِهُ في زئيره. قال:

سامٍ على الزَّءّارةِ المكهكِهِ

وناقة كهّةٌ وكَهاةٌ- أي: ضَخْمَةٌ مُسِنَّةٌ ثقيلة. قال:

فمرت كهاة ذات خَيْفٍ جُلالةٌ
