كنكر: كَنكر (فارسية)؛ خرشوف، أرض شوكي (المستعيني انظر مادة كنجر). وفي معجم المنصوري: كنكر هو خرشف بستاني يسمى القنارية (انظر أيضاً ابن البيطار الجزء الرابع ص87 مادة كنكر وابن ليون 48) ومادة acanthe ou baranche- ursine ( بوشر).
كنكرية هي زريعة المثنان (ابن الجزار مادة مِثنان).
