كَرْمَحَ
a. Ran with short steps.

كَرْمَل
a. Mount Carmel.

كرمح: الكَرْمَحة والكَرْتَحة: عَدْوٌ دون الكَرْدَمة. قال أَبو عمرو:

كَرْمَحْنا في آثار القوم: عَدَوْنا عَدْوَ المتثاقل.

كرمح
: (الكَرْمَحَة: الكَرْبَحَة) ، المِيم مقلوبةٌ عَن الباءِ، وَهُوَ دُون الكَرْدَمة. قَالَ أَبو عَمرٍ و: كَرْمَحْنَا فِي آثارِ القَوم، أَي عدَوْنَا عَدْوَ المتثاقِل.

Q. 1 كَرْمَحَ, inf. n. كَرْمَحَةٌ, i. q. كَرْتَحَ, (S, art. كردح, and CK, and a MS copy of the K,) He (a short man) ran with short steps, and quickly: (S, ubi supra:) or i. q. كَرْبَحَ, the ب being changed into م, (TA,) he ran at a slower pace than that termed كَرْدَمَةٌ. (L, TA.)
