(كَرْثَمَةُ) ، بالثَّاءِ المُثَلَّثَةِ أَهْمَلَه الجَوْهَرِيُّ وصاحِبُ اللِّسان، وَقَالَ أئِمَّة النَّسَبِ: هُوَ كَرْثَمَةُ (بنُ جَابِر بنِ هَرَّابٍ، بِالفَتْح) فِي الجَاهِلِيَّةِ (مِنْ بَنِي سَامَةَ بنِ لُؤَيٍّ) ، ومرَّ الاخْتِلافُ فِي نَسَبِ بَنِي سَامةَ فِي " س وم ".
