قلجين: قلجين وقلجين وقلشين وقلشين (بالإيطالية Calzino) والجمع قلاجين وقلاشين: هو في الشام خف من الجلد ومن السختيان، ويصنع للنساء من الأطلس (الساتان) ولا يلبس إلا مع البابوج وهو نوع من الجرامقة (جمع جرموق) يلبس فوق الأحذية. (برجون ص724، ص801، ص807، بوشر، همبرت ص21، محيط المحيط).
