(قحم) - في الحديث: "أَقبلَت زَيْنَبُ تَقَحَّم لِعائِشَة - رضي الله عنهما -"
: أي تتعَرَّض لِشَتْمها، وتَتَدَخَّل عليها؛ من قَولِهم: فلان يتقَحَّم في الأُمورِ؛ إذا كان يَقَع فيها من غير تَثَبُّتٍ.

(قَحَمَ) الْقَافُ وَالْحَاءُ وَالْمِيمُ أَصْلٌ صَحِيحٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى تَوَرُّدِ الشَّيْءِ بِأَدْنَى جَفَاءٍ وَإِقْدَامٍ. يُقَالُ: قَحَمَ فِي الْأُمُورِ قُحُومًا: رَمَى بِنَفْسِهِ فِيهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ دُرْبَةٍ. وَقُحَمُ [الطَّرِيقِ] : مَصَاعِبُهُ. وَيُقَالُ: إِنَّ الْمَقَاحِيمَ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ: الَّتِي تَقْتَحِمُ الشَّوْلَ مِنْ غَيْرِ إِرْسَالٍ. وَالْقَحْمُ: الْبَعِيرُ يُثْنِي وَيُرْبِعُ فِي سَنَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، فَيُقْحِمُ سِنًّا عَلَى سِنٍّ. وَقَحَّمَ الْفَرَسُ فَارِسَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، إِذَا رَمَاهُ. وَيَقُولُونَ: " إِنَّ لِلْخُصُومَةِ قُحَمًا " أَيْ إِنَّهَا تُقَحِّمُ بِصَاحِبِهَا عَلَى مَا لَا يَهْوَاهُ. وَالْقُحْمَةُ: السَّنَةُ تُقْحِمُ الْأَعْرَابَ بِلَادَ الرِّيفِ.
