(فطس) - في الحديث: " تُقاتِلونَ قومًا فُطْسَ الأُنوفِ"
قال ابنُ فارس: الفَطَس في الأَنْف: انفِراشُه وانْخِفَاضُ قَصَبَتِه، وهو أَفْطَس.
- وفي صِفَة العَجْوَةِ "فُطْسٌ خُنْسٌ ."
: أي صِغارُ الحَبِّ لاطِئَةُ الأقماع. وفَطَس الحدِيدَ: ضَربَه بالفِطِّيس حتى عَرَّضه.

(هـ) فِي حَدِيثِ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ «تُقاتِلون قَوْمًا فُطْسَ الأُنُوف» الفَطَس:
انْخِفاض قَصَبة الْأَنْفِ وانْفِراشُها، والرجل أَفْطَس.
(س) ومنه في صفة ثمرة العَجْوة «فُطْسٌ خُنْسٌ» أَيْ صِغار الحَبّ لاطِئَةُ الأقْماع.
وفُطْس: جَمْعُ فَطْسَاء.

(فَطَسَ) الْفَاءُ وَالطَّاءُ وَالسِّينُ. فِيهِ الْفَطَسُ فِي الْأَنْفِ: انْفِرَاشُهُ. وَفِطِّيسَةُ الْخِنْزِيرِ: أَنْفُهُ. وَالْفِطِّيسُ: الْمِطْرَقَةُ، وَلَعَلَّهَا سُمِّيَتْ بِذَلِكَ لِأَنَّهَا يُكْسَرُ بِهَا الشَّيْءُ، وَيَتَطَامَنُ. وَيَقُولُونَ: فَطَسَ: مَاتَ. وَيَقُولُونَ: الْفَطْسَةُ: خَرَزَةٌ يُؤَخَّذُ بِهَا.
