فردس: الفِرْدَوْس: جنّة ذات كَرْم. وكَرْمٌ مُفَرْدسٌ، أي: مُعَرَّش، قال :

وكلاكلاً ومَنْكِباً مفردسا

والفَرْدسةُ: الصَّرع القبيح، [يقال] : أَخَذَهُ ففَرْدَسَهُ. أي: ضرب به الأرض.
