بعد الألف ياء مهموزة، يقال: جاءوا يتفايشون أي يتفاخرون، وفائش: واد في أرض اليمن وبه سمي سلامة بن يزيد بن عريب بن تريم بن مرثد الحميري ذا فائش، وكان هذا الوادي له أو لأبيه، والله الموفق للصواب.
