غنظ: الغَنْظُ: الهم اللازم. تقول: إنه لمغنوظ أي: مهموم. وقد غنظه الأمر يغنظه، ويغنظه وهو أشد الكرب، وهو إشراف على الموت. وغنظته غنظا: بَلَغْتُ منه ذلك. وهذا غناظ له أي: مغمةٌ.
