غمهج: الأَزهري: أَنشد لهِميان بن قحافة يصف إِبلاً فيها فحلها:

تَتْبَعُ قَيدُوماً، لها، غُماهِجا،

رَحْبَ اللَّبَان، مُدْمَجاً هُجاهِجا

الغُمَاهِجُ: الضخم السمين، ويقال عُمَاهج، بالعين، بمعْناه؛ وقال:

في غُلَوَاءِ القَصَب الغُمَاهِجِ
