غليون: غَلْيُون (بالأسبانية galeon، وبالإيطالية gale one) : سفينة شراعية وتجارية استعملت قديماً بخاصة لنقل الذهب إلى أسبانيا من مستعمراتها. والجمع غلايين وغلاوين. (بوشر، همبرت ص126، ألف ليلة 4: 267، 486، محيط المحيط). غَلْيُون: بيبة، (بوشر حلبيّة، محيط المحيط) وصاحب محيط المحيط يضيف: ويعرف عند أهل مصر بالحجر.
