الغَفَلّقَة كعَمَلّسة أهمله الجوهَريّ. وَقَالَ ابنُ الأعرابيّ: هِيَ المرأةُ العَظيمَة الرّكَبِ. وَقَالَ ثعْلبٌ: إنّما هِيَ العَفَلَّقةُ بالعَيْن المُهْمَلَة. قَالَ الصّاغانيّ: وبالمُهْمَلَة أفصَحُ وَقد تقدّم.
