عَضَز يَعْضِز عَضْزاً، من حَدّ ضَرَبَ، أَهملَه الجَوْهَرِيّ. وَقَالَ ابْن دُريد: أَي منَعَ، هَكَذَا نَقله عَنهُ الصَّاغانِيّ. فِي اللِّسَان: عَضَزَ يَعْضِزُ: مَضَغَ، فِي بعض اللُّغَات، أَو لم يعرفْها البَصْرِيُّون، قَالَه ابْن دُريد، وَهُوَ بِناءٌ مُسْتَنْكَرٌ ثَقيلٌ.
