مُهْمَلٌ عِنْدَه. وحَكى الخارْزَنْجِيُّ: عَوِّثْ عَلَيَّ: أي احْمِلْ عَنِّي وأعِنِّي. ولي عنه مَعَاثٌ: أي مَنْدُوْحَةٌ. وعَوَّثْتُه عنه: حَبَسْتَه وهو حائرٌ. وانْعَاثَ: أي انْحَبَسَ.
