قال الأَصمَعِىُّ: هي الشَّعَر في الشَّفَةِ السُّفْلَى.
وقال غيره: هي الشُّعَيْرات بين الشَّفَة السُّفْلَى وبين الذَّقَن. والعَنْفَقَة: قِلَّةُ الشَّيءِ وخِفَّتُه، وتِلكَ من هذا.
