(عَلِصَ) الْعَيْنُ وَاللَّامُ وَالصَّادُ قَرِيبٌ مِنَ الَّذِي قَبْلَهُ. عَلَى أَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ: إِنَّ الْعِلَّوْصَ: التُّخَمَةُ، وَلَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ وَلَا لَهُ قِيَاسٌ. وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّ الْعِلَاصَ: الْمُضَارَبَةُ بِالسَّيْفِ، وَهَذَا أَيْضًا لَا مَعْنَى لَهُ، وَكُلُّ مَا ذُكِرَ فِي هَذَا الْبِنَاءِ فَمَجْرَاهُ هَذَا الْمَجْرَى.
