: (المُعْتْلَبُ) ، بالتَّاء المُثَنَّاةِ الفَوْقِيَّةِ (كمُعَصْفَرٍ) ، أَهْمَلَه الجَوْهَرِيُّ والصَّاغَانِيّ. وَقَالَ صَاحِبُ اللِّسَانِ: هُوَ (الرِّخوُ) . يُقَالُ: جَبَلٌ مُعَتْلَبٌ أَي رِخْوٌ. قَال الرَّاجِزُ:
مُلَحمُ القَارَةِ لَمْ يُعْتَلَبِ
