(طَهَمَ) الطَّاءُ وَالْهَاءُ وَالْمِيمُ أَصْلٌ صَحِيحٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى شَيْءٍ فِي خَلْقِ الْإِنْسَانِ وَغَيْرِهِ. فَحَكَى أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ أَنَّ الْمُطَهَّمَ: الْجَمِيلُ التَّامُّ الْخَلْقِ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَالْأَفْرَاسِ. وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ: الْمُطَهَّمُ: الْمُكَلْثَمُ الْمُجْتَمِعُ. وَهَذَا عِنْدَنَا أَصَحُّ الْقَوْلَيْنِ ; لِلْحَدِيثِ الَّذِي رَوَاهُ عَلِيٌّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِي وَصْفِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ -: " «لَمْ يَكُنْ بِالْمُطَهَّمِ وَلَا الْمُكَلْثَمِ» "، وَحُكِيَتْ كَلِمَةٌ إِنْ صَحَّتْ، قَالُوا: تَطَهَّمْتُ الطَّعَامَ: كَرِهْتُهُ.
