قَدْ تَكَرَّرَ فِيهِ ذِكْرُ «الطُّنْفُسَة» وَهِيَ بِكَسْرِ الطَّاءِ وَالْفَاءِ وَبِضَمِّهِمَا، وَبِكَسْرِ الطَّاءِ وَفَتْحِ الْفَاءِ: البساطُ الَّذِي لَهُ خَمْل رَقيق، وجمعُه طَنَافِس.

طَنْفَسَ: ساءَ خُلُقُهُ بعدَ حُسْنٍ، ولَبِسَ الثيابَ الكثيرةَ.
والطَّنْفَسَةُ، مُثَلَّثَةَ الطاءِ والفاءِ، وبكسر الطاءِ وفتح الفاءِ، وبالعَكْسِ: واحِدَةُ الطَّنافِسِ للبُسْطِ والثيابِ، والحَصيرُ من سَعَفٍ عَرْضُهُ ذِراعٍ.
والطِّنْفِسُ، بالكسر: الرَّديءُ السَّمِجُ القَبيحُ.
