الطُرْثُوْثُ: نَبَات كالفُطْرِ مُسْتَطِيْلٌ دَقِيْق يُجْعَل في الأدْوِية. وخَرَجَ القَوْمُ يَتَطَرْثَثُونَ. والعَرَبُ تُسَقَي الكَمَرَةَ طُرْثُوْثاً؛ على التَّشْبِيه. والطرْثُ: طَرَفُ البَظْرِ.
