طارطقة: كلمة لاتينية أو أسبانية وابن البيطار (2: 149) يقول (باللطينية) وكذلك في معجم المنصوري (مادة ما هو بذانة) غير أن عامة الأسبان أي العرب منهم يستعملونها أيضاً (ابن البيطار 2: 459) وهي الكلمة الأسبانية tatago ومعناها حب الملوك (نبات مسهل) واسمه العلمي: Euphorbia Lathyris.
