[ضرط] الضُراطُ: الرُدامُ. وقد ضَرَطَ يضرط ضرطا، بكسر الراء، مثال حبق يحبق حبقا. وفى المثل: " أودى العَيرُ إلا ضَرِطاً "، أي لم يبقَ من جَلَدِهِ وقوَّته إلا هذا. وأضْرَطَه غيره وضرَّطَهُ بمعنًى. وكان يقال لعمرو بن هندٍ: مضزط الحجارة، لشدته وصرامته. وقولهم: أضرط به وضرط به، أي هَزِئَ به ; وحكى له بفيهِ فعل الضارط. ويقال: " الاكل سريط والقضاء ضريط ". وربما قالوا: " الاكل سريطى والقضاء ضريطى " مثال القبيطى، أي يسترط ما يأخذه من الدين فإذا تقاضاه صاحبه أضرط به.
