[صمح] الصمحمح: الشديد. قال الجرمى: الغليظ القصير. وقال ثعلب: رَأْسٌ صَمَحْمَحٌ: أي أصْلَعُ غليظ شديدٌ. وهو فعلعل، كرر فيه العين واللام. والصمحاء، مثال الحرباء: الارض الصلبة، والصمحاءة أخص منه .
