[صخب] الصَخَبُ: الصِياح والجَلَبَةُ. تقول منه: صَخِبَ بالكسر، فهو صَخَّابٌ وصَخْبانُ. واصطخب، افْتَعَلَ منه. وقال الشاعر:
إنَّ الضَفادِعَ في الغُدْران تَصْطَخِبُ * وماءٌ صَخِبُ الآذِيِّ، إذا كان له صوت.
