جمع شقّ أو شقّ، وهو الناحية: منزل بطريق مكة بعد واقصة من الكوفة وبعدها تلقاء مكة بطان وقبر العبادي وهو لبني سلامة من بني أسد. والشقوق أيضا: من مياه ضبّة بأرض اليمامة.
