: (و} شَمَا {يَشْمُو} شُمُوّاً) ، كسَمَا يَسْمُو سُمُوّاً:
أَهْملهُ الجوهريُّ.
وقالَ الأَزْهري والصَّاغاني عَن ابنِ الأعْرابي: أَي (علا أَمْرُه) .
قالَ: ( {والشَّمَا، مَقْصورَةً: الشَّمَعُ) .
قلْت: وكأَنَّه على التَّخْفِيفِ البَدَليّ.
