بالفتح، وأصله من شعفت بالشيء إذا اهتممت به: موضع بنجد، قال ابن برّاقة الثّمالي:
أروى تهامة ثمّ أصبح جالسا بشعوف بين الشّثّ والطّبّاق الشّثّ والطّبّاق: شجرتان.
