شوب
الشَّوْبُ: الخلط. قال الله تعالى: لَشَوْباً مِنْ حَمِيمٍ [الصافات/ 67] ، وسمّي العسل شَوْباً، إمّا لكونه مزاجا للأشربة، وإمّا لما يختلط به من الشّمع. وقيل: ما عنده شَوْبٌ ولا روب ، أي: عسل ولبن.

(شَوَبَ)
(هـ) فِيهِ «لَا شَوْبَ وَلَا رَوْبَ» أَيْ لَا غِشَّ وَلَا تَخْلِيط فِي شِرَاءِ أَوْ بَيعٍ.
وأصلُ الشَّوْبِ: الخَلْط، والرَّوْبُ مِنَ اللَّبن: الرَّائب لخَلْطِه بِالْمَاءِ. وَيُقَالُ للمُخَلِّط فِي كَلَامِهِ: هُوَ يَشُوبُ ويَرُوبُ. وَقِيلَ مَعْنَى لَا شَوْبَ وَلَا رَوْب: أَنَّكَ بَرِيءٌ مِنْ هَذِهِ السِّلْعَةِ. (هـ) وَفِيهِ «يشهَدُ بيعَكُم الحَلْفُ واللغْوُ فَشُوبُوهُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ» أَمَرَهُمْ بالصَّدَقة لِمَا يجرِي بَيْنَهُمْ مِنَ الكَذِب والرِّبا والزِّيادة والنُّقْصان فِي الْقَوْلِ، لِتَكُونَ كَفَّارَةً لِذَلِكَ.

(شَوُبَ) الشِّينُ وَالْوَاوُ وَالْبَاءُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَهُوَ الْخَلْطُ. يُقَالُ: شُبْتُ الشَّيْءَ أَشَوْبُهُ شَوْبًا. قَالَ أَهْلُ اللُّغَةِ: وَسُمِّيَ الْعَسَلُ شَوْبًا، لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَهُمْ مِزَاجًا لِغَيْرِهِ مِنَ الْأَشْرِبَةِ. وَالشِّيَابُ: اسْمٌ لِمَا يُمْزَجُ بِهِ. وَيَقُولُونَ: مَا عِنْدَهُ شَوْبٌ وَلَا رَوْبٌ. فَالشَّوْبُ: الْعَسَلُ. وَالرُّوبُ: اللَّبَنُ الرَّائِبُ.
