شعن:
شعانين هي تصحيف الكلمة العبرية التي تفيد معنى هذه المناسبة الدينية (انظر ملاحظة هاماكر التي دونها فريتاج) وهي في (محيط المحيط) مفردها شعنينة وعند بوشر مفردها شعنون وتجدها في مادة غصن؛ أحدُ الشعانين - يوم أحد الأغصان (بوشر) (هربرت 153).

(هـ) فِيهِ «فَجَاءَ رجلٌ طويلٌ مُشْعَانٌّ بغَنم يَسُوقُها» هُوَ المُنْتَفِشُ الشَّعر، الثَّائرُ الرأسِ. يُقَالُ شَعرٌ مُشْعَانٌّ وَرَجُلٌ مُشْعَانٌّ ومُشْعَانُّ الرأسِ. وَالْمِيمُ زائدةٌ.
