شرنف: الشِّرنافُ: ورق الزرع إذا كثر وطال وخُشِيَ فسادُه فقُطِع، يقال

حينئذ: شَرْنَفْتُ الزرعَ إذا قَطَعْتَ شِرنافَه. قال الأَزهري: وهي كلمة

يمانية. والشِّرنافُ: عَصْفُ الزَّرْعِ العريضُ؛ يقال: قد شَرْنَفُوا

زرعَهم إذا جزوا عَصْفَه.
