[شربث] الشَرَنْبَثُ: الغليظ الكفّين والرجلين، وربَّما وُصف به الأسد. وكذلك الشرابث بضم الشين. قال سيبويه: النون والالف يتعاوران الاسم في معنى، نحو شرنبث وشرابث، وجر نفش وجرافش .
