: (الشُّحْدُود كسُرْسُور) ، أَهمله الجوهريُّ. قَالَ اللَّيْثُ هُوَ: (السَّبِّيءُ الخُلقِ) ، قَالَت أَعرابِيّةٌ وأَرادت أَن تَرْكَب بَغْلاً: لعَلَّه حَيُوص، أَو قَمُوص، أَو شُحْدُودٌ. قَالَ الأَزهريُّ: وجاءَ بِهِ غير اللَّيْث.
