(شجب) : الشَّجْبُ: الطَّويلُ من الرِّجالِ والإبلِ.
(شجب) : والشَّجْبٌ: سِقاءٌ يُقْطَعُ نصفُه، فيُعْرَقُ أَسفَلُه، ويُتَّخَذُ دَلْواً.
(شجب) : شَجَبَه بالرُّمْحِ ويَرْمى الرَّجُلُ الظَّبْيَ فيُصِيبُه في المَكان منه، فيُقال: شَجَبَه، وذاك أَنْ يُبِينَ بعضَ قَوائِمِه فلا، يَسْتَطيع أنْ يَبْرَحَ.
