شاه أمْرُود: (معناه كمثرى ملكى): صنف من الكمثرى في خراسان، ففي ابن البيطار (2: 389) في الآخر (ص390): وأما المعروف بالشاه أمرود في بلاد خراسان دون غيرها فهو: أَرْمُود أيضاً بدلا من امرود. والترك يسمون هذه الكمثرى: بكك ارمودي (بكك = شاه) ومنه أخذت الكلمة الإيطالية Bergamotto والكلمة الفرنسية Bergamote
