(سَغَّ) السِّينُ وَالْغَيْنُ أَصْلٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى دَرْجِ الشَّيْءِ فِي الشَّيْءِ بِاضْطِرَابٍ وَحَرَكَةٍ. مِنْ ذَلِكَ سَغْسَغْتُ رَأْسِي بِالدُّهْنِ، إِذَا رَوَّيْتَهُ. قَالَ الْخَلِيلُ وَغَيْرُهُ: سَغْسَغْتَ الشَّيْءَ فِي التُّرَابِ، إِذَا دَحْدَحْتَهُ فِيهِ. وَأَمَّا قَوْلُهُمْ: تَسَغْسَغَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ، فَمُمْكِنٌ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْإِبْدَالِ، وَمِنَ الْبَابِ الَّذِي قَبْلَ هَذَا.
