قال محمد بن إسماعيل البخاري: مات إبراهيم ابن أدهم سنة 161 ودفن بسوقين حصن ببلاد الروم، قال ابن عساكر: كذا قال والمحفوظ أنّه مات سنة 162، وقال غيره: مات بجزيرة من جزائر البحر غازيا.
