سوح: السَّاحةُ: الناحية، وهي أَيضاً فَضاء يكون بين دُور الحَيِّ.

وساحةُ الدار: باحَتُها، والجمع ساحٌ وسُوحٌ وساحاتٌ، الأُولى عن كراع؛ قال

الجوهري: مثل بَدَنةٍ وبُدْنٍ وخَشَبَةٍ وخُشْبٍ والتصغير سُوَيْحَةٌ.
